Pam Baumann

I am a self made business owner, an entrepreneur who owes a lot of my success to being goal oriented, determined, creative, and having a wonderful family who gives me lots of help and support along the way. I have been married for 41 years to Gary Baumann, a patternmaker at the Neenah Foundry, and I also have three wonderful children, Curt, Lisa, and Eric. Also, having such great employees makes a business owner want to come to work every day. Our new and long term employees have helped create a trusting, caring and professional atmosphere for all types of different companies to work in.

The first building under the PAMCO Executive Suites concept was the 501 S. Nicolet Rd. location, followed by the 4650 W. Spencer St. building, and most recently the 2800 E. Enterprise building on the northeast side of Appleton. It all started by taking the Career Options building of 4,000 s.f., adding an additional 4,000 s.f. and building out the basement space to gain another 4,000 s.f. for office suites.

PAMCO Executive Suites now has a total of 90 office suites exceeding 37,500 s.f. Current trends have shown that Class A space has fewer vacancies that any other class of space. It might be that Class A space addresses the technical needs of its tenants and builds more amenities into the building, so they can attract a higher caliber of professional tenants. PAMCO prides itself on offering the best and most popular services and amenities to their tenants such as answering their phone lines with the name of their company, handling their administrative support services, giving tenants free use of the conference rooms, office equipment, free cleaning twice a week, door and directory signage and all utility costs are included in the rent. Their phone lines include local and long distance calling as well as T1- high speed Internet access.

This Spring I would like to start another business endeavor that would compliment my existing businesses, and in turn assist my daughter Lisa's business, Career Options. The name of the new business will be called "PAMCO Property Management, LLC." I hope to attract commercial building owners with office, retail, and industrial buildings that need to be both managed and maintained. I will provide commercial building owners with a complete array of services like lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, cleaning and administrative services. I will offer my new clients "one month free" for signing a one year management & maintenance contract. My motto is "building your image from the ground up" and I believe my management and maintenance services will live up to my idea of "one company to call and one check to write."

In my spare time I enjoy sewing for my 3 year old grand daughter Paige. I have always been very creative and I enjoy trying new things. There are 35 pieces of artwork I created and framed for my Spencer Street PAMCO building! I also have taken classes in silversmith, copper enameling, water color painting, pottery and glass fusion. I have been a member of Women in Management and the Fox Valley Chamber for 23 years. I am just finishing 9 years as a board member with Prospera Credit Union. I have also been a judge for a scholarship program for Equitable Reserve, the founding president of Wisconsin Business Entrepreneurs in Appleton, and a speaker/team leader with Junior Achievement. I also enjoy supporting great organizations like Harbor House, The Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries to name a few.

So why do I work so hard, and when will I retire? Well at 63 I am still going strong! But some day I will eventually sell the three office buildings, or, I may do a sale lease-back arrangement with some investors. Each of my three office buildings are about 80-85% full at the moment. The three class A brick buildings will help fund my retirement in the years to come. Until then I will continue creating, running and managing my businesses.
